iNOEX is pleased to announce its participation in the ‘Industrie.IN.NRW’ innovation competition. As part of the project, a new type of all-electronic THz sensor is being developed with bandwidths up to the THz range. The aim is to overcome the previous disadvantages of high sensor costs and the lack of reliability of optical THz technologies, which have so far hindered the widespread use of these technologies.
Integration into microchip technology will result in a robust and cost-effective THz sensor that makes it possible to measure wall thicknesses in the millimetre range. This is particularly relevant for the production of plastic pipes with wall thicknesses of just a few millimetres.
The project partners in this innovative endeavour are
2π-LABS GmbH, Bochum (consortium leader)
iNOEX GmbH, Melle
Ruhr University Bochum, Integrated Systems (INSYS)
Ruhr University Bochum, Electronic Circuit Technology (EST)
The total funding for the TIGER project amounts to €2,271,276. The ‘Industrie.IN.NRW’ competition is being implemented as part of European regional funding (ERDF/JTF programme NRW 2021-2027) by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) and the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport (MUNV).
iNOEX is looking forward to working with its partners and the opportunities that the competition will open up.
